Website Express become the first Acquia partner in Wales

Website Express is pleased to announce that we have been approved for the Acquia partner program, becoming the first Acquia partner in Wales.Acquia is a commercial open source software company providing products, services, and technical support for the open source Drupal social publishing system. Founded by Dries Buytaert, they aim to become the Red Hat for Drupal.The partner program means Acquia can work with specialist Drupal development companies for website development, allowing Acquia to focus on its main offerings of managed Drupal hosting and support.What does this mean for Website Express and our customers? The biggest advantage is that we will be able to deliver larger, more complex projects with the support of Acquia. Acquia provide the ongoing, SLA backed support which large companies and organisations often require in order to choose an open source technology such as Drupal. It also means we will be in regular contact with what is rapidly becoming one of the most innovative technology companies in the open source arena, giving us, and most importantly our customers, access to new technologies, products and services as soon as they become available.
